Imagine that we have three columns in SPSS data sheet. The first column (Var1) contains the treatment name, e.g. 1, 2, 3, ... . The second column (Var2) contains the number of Block, e.g. 1, 2, 3, ... . The third column (Var3) shows the data. To analysis:

1) Analyze → General Linear Models → Univariate

transfer Var3 to the text box "Dependent Variable", Var1 to "Fixed Factor(s)" text box, and Var2 to "Random Factor(s)" text box

2) Click on the "Model" button, then on "Custom", then add Var1 and Var2 to the "Model" box.

3) Click on "Continue". You will return to the main window for ANOVA test. Click on "OK".
